About the Author

Janet Nealon began as a librarian and her chief delight in her work was the weekly story hour when she read aloud to children.
The surrounding walls were covered with colorful posters she had painted, invitations to the magical world of children's stories.
Later she studied in Paris, France at the well-known art school, La Grande Chaumiere.
After that she became a commercial artist, but her true interest surfaced when she began writing and illustrating children's books.
Her arresting stories are unfolded in captivating witty verse,
to be enjoyed by people of all ages, from 5 to 105,
the hallmark of quality children's literature.

Her first book, "The Uppity Brothers", a timeless tale of the struggle for power,
was followed by "Measly The Mouse", "Lolita, The Vegetable Eater", and "Lazy Luke",
as well as a collection of amusing poems.

The author resides in Newton, MA, where she enjoys frequenting the esteemed Newton Free Library.
